Jha Deer Park named after the social worker Aditya Nath Jha.It got its name because it comprises many deers in it.

What are the various sections of the Biodiversity Park?
Other than deer, the park also have other animals and birds like peacocks, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, and some migratory birds too. The biodiversity park is divided in four parts which includes the Rose Garden, the Deer Park, the Hauz Khas complex and the fountain and district park. The Deer park is a good option for family outing, exercising(specially morning walks or jogging) or picnics especially if you have kids with you.
What is it most famous about?
Hauz Khas Complex
One of the most famous section of this area is the Hauz Khas complex and the Hauz Khas, the royal water tank. Hauz Khas was first built by Allaudin Khilji for the people of Siri Fort. Earlier it was known as the Hauz-I-Ilai after his name. Later Firuz Shah Tughlaq built some buildings on the Southern and Eastern banks. The building includes the tomb of Firuz Shah Tughlaq which was repaired during the reign of Sikander Lodi in 1507. The multi storeyed building with a line of halls and chambers was built by Firuz Shah Tughlaq in AD 1354, and the building was used as a college or ‘Madrasa’ as said in Urdu for religious teachings. There is also a mosque built at the end of the series of halls on the Northern side. The octagonal or the square structures were most probably built as tombs of the teachers in the Madrasa.
How was the madrasa constructed?
The Madrasa is a multi-storey building and it consists of open pillared rooms at the top and small chambers at the bottom which worked as staying place for the students.
Why is the mosque in Hauz Khas complex considered unique?
The mosque worked as a worshiping place for all the students, teachers and the other people who worked there. In most of the mosques, the western side is usually closed, but in this mosque, the western side has decorative small balcony(known as the jharokhas).
Why is the rose garden a tourist attraction?
Along with Hauz Khas complex and the deer park, there is also a beautiful rose garden just opposite the deer garden. The rose garden not only consists of various types of roses, but has beautiful long trees. With all the greenery and lovely birds, you are going to be so refreshed by visiting this place.
