Birla Mandir or Laxmi Narayan Temple is a very popular temple in Delhi. This is a three storeyed structure which lies near central Delhi. Birla Mandir Delhi attracts a lot of tourists all round the year especially on the occasions such as Janmashtami. It is one of the major temples located in Delhi. The construction of Birla Mandir started in 1933 and it took 6 years to complete the work. Sris Chandra Chatterjee was the architect of Birla Mandir. Laxmi Narayan temple was built in 1939 and inaugurated by Sh. Mahatma Gandhi Ji. Birla Mandir is spread over an area of 7.5 acres and is exquisitely made inside with garden, fountains etc. The Birla temple is situated near Connaught Place, centre of Delhi.
