The largest flag in India was hoisted here on March 7, 2014 by the Flag Foundation of India. The flag is made up of knitted polyester fabric and id 60 feet wide and 90 feet long. It has been hoisted on a poll with a height of 207 feet.

The famous shopping complexes like the Janpath and the underground shopping complex Palika Bazaar are also located near the Central Park itself. A large number of people including foreigners visit these markets for shopping.
